Speaking during an inspection visit earlier today, the Director of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), Moses Kiptanui, underscored the importance of the facility in improving dental healthcare standards. The KMPDC team assessed Mosoriot KMTC as a Community Oral Health Training Institution—a crucial step towards accreditation and commissioning.
The inspection was followed by a courtesy call where key stakeholders, including representatives from the County Government of Nandi and Mosoriot KMTC management, deliberated on the institution’s progress. Discussions focused on the clinic’s upcoming commissioning, its role in addressing oral healthcare needs, and the impact of the Community Oral Health Programme on the region.
Governor Stephen Sang reiterated his commitment to supporting health initiatives that benefit the community. “The launch of this dental clinic and the oral health programme marks a new chapter in healthcare delivery in Nandi. We believe that access to quality oral healthcare is vital, and this partnership with Mosoriot KMTC brings us closer to achieving that goal,” said Governor Sang.

“We are working towards transforming Kaimosi Agricultural Training Centre into a center of excellence for agricultural training on various value chains and innovation,” Governor Sang said. “Through strategic investments and collaborations, we aim to modernize the facility, improve training programs, and enhance infrastructure to better serve farmers, agripreneurs, students, and beyond.”
“Our focus is on providing practical, modern agricultural training that empowers farmers with the right skills,” Mr. Kachilei said. “By upgrading our learning resources and integrating the latest farming technologies, we will enhance agricultural productivity and contribute significantly to the region’s economic growth.”
The modernization efforts include the construction of new training halls, renovation of existing infrastructure, and development of demonstration farms to showcase best agricultural practices.
