We are committed to standing with the youth and are already making strides in supporting those already speaking for themselves and encouraging others to do the same.
Together with other departments, we are set out for success. We continue to lobby and advocate for the implementation of the 50 percent provision for the
youth, women and PWDs.
Presently, the department is extensively involved in a campaign and sensitization to have the youth register businesses and companies they own with us.
This is geared towards establishing the actual statistics of the number of youth owned companies and specifically help us generate the preferences and reservations list for adoption by the county government.
This is in line with the Public Procurement and Oversight Authority that directs that each procuring entity must have the list uploaded in the organization’s website.
