SECRETARY
NANDI COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD
PRESIDENT KENYATTA TELLS OFF LEADERS OVER DIVISIVE POLITICS
President Uhuru Kenyatta has once again called on leaders to shun divisive politics and strive to unite the country.
Speaking today at Kapsabet in Nandi County during a fundraiser at AIC Kapsabet mission, President Kenyatta said that no one person can succeed
without the support of the other.
He called on the National Assembly and the Senate to end the war of words over division of revenue, saying politics of chest thumping at
functions will not lead them anywhere.
President Kenyatta advised leaders to organise forums where they can sit down and discuss issues they feel have not been addressed so as to eliminate unnecessary political fights.
The president was responding to sentiments by Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki that the Senate is ready to fight the National Assembly
after they redirected the Sh1 billion meant for facilitating Senate’s oversight role to counties.
A total of Sh19 million was raised towards the construction of the church.
