NANDI PROJECTS ARE ON COURSE, ASSURES CLEOPHAS LAGAT

The Nandi County Government is committed to completing all the projects launched in the devolved unit two years ago, Governor Cleophas Lagat said.

The projects were budgeted for in the 2013/2015 financial year.

Dr Lagat singled out work that would see each household having access to piped water before the end of next year.

“My government has already set aside funds towards the installation of water pipes in each of the 30 wards across the county. The work will be completed by March next year,” he said.

He spoke on the sidelines of the 5th Annual International Conference on Innovation for the Advancement of Humanity at the Eldoret National Polytechnic on Friday.

INVESTMENT MEETINGS

Dr Lagat’s assurance comes amid concern raised by a section of members of the county assembly over stalled projects yet they had been budgeted for. The MCAs, including Mr Joseph Too (Chemundu), wondered where the money earmarked for the projects was.
