TRAINING OF ENUMERATORS ON K WASH PROGRAMME KICKS OFF

 

County Government of Nandi is among the 19 Counties sponsored by World Bank to implement the Kenya – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Programme(K-WASH) and today, the department of Environment and Climate change held a training for enumerators across the 30 wards on data collection.

K-WASH a 6 years Programme, aims to improve assess to water, Sanitation and Hygiene conditions in Healthcare facilities and Schools by establishing and identifying status of Healthcare WASH facilities so as to inform proper planning for implementation.

Baseline Survey will be conducted for health facilities and Schools on viability of water sources. This survey will assist the Government in prioritizing the areas that require urgent intervention and funding.

Project Coordinator Gilbert Keter, urged the enumerators to provide sufficient information in order to address and implement the project effectively.

Also present during the training were directors Water Mr. Keror, director Public health and Sanitation Mr. Bichiy and Sub County Water officer Chesumei Mr. Lagat.
