TOWARDS BETTER HEALTHCARE IN NANDI
The CEC Member for Health and Sanitation Dr Angeline Kirui, has implored health care workers to remain dedicated to improving the healthcare system of the county.
Speaking during a visit to Kaptumo Sub County Hospital in Aldai Sub County, the CEC Member acknowledged the challenges faced by the residents while receiving services at the facility and outlined strategies to improve accessibility, quality and affordability of healthcare for both inpatient and outpatient 24/7.
During a meeting with the hospital management led by Aldai Sub County MoH, the Medical Superintendent, the Hospital Administrator, and the Nursing officer in charge, the issues raised were tabled, discussed and sorted.
Of immediate action is the deployment of additional nurses, pharmaceutical technologists and health records officers to the facility to enhance service delivery.
Dr Angeline reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), a priority aimed at ensuring all Nandi residents have access to affordable and quality healthcare services.
She emphasized that the department of health continues to work tirelessly to enhance service delivery and improve access to healthcare across the county.
“Access to quality healthcare services is essential to sustainable development. We will strengthen and improve the provision of healthcare services for the people of Nandi County,” she said.
She encouraged residents to register with the Social Health Authority (SHA) to access care at the county’s health facilities as the government intensifies efforts to deliver on its UHC agenda.
The County Government of Nandi acknowledges concerns raised by the citizenry and wish to thank each and every resident and appreciate their feedback on service delivery in all our facilities. By working together, each of us can bring about Better Health, Better Care, and Better Life for all Nandi residents.
