GOVERNOR SANG PUTS NANDI YOUTH ON THE PATH TO SUCCESS AS LANDMARK SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM TAKES OFF

H.E Governor Stephen Sang is proving that the future of the county lies in the hands of its youth, following the official launch of a transformative three-month skills training program aimed at unlocking potential and creating opportunities.

In a bold step toward youth empowerment, the County Government of Nandi, under Governor Sang’s leadership, partnered with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) – a global NGO renowned for shaping leaders with international perspective. After signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier this month, the initiative officially commenced today with a ceremony presided over by Weekend Academy Director Nelson Magundho at the Eliud Kipchoge Sports Complex in Kapsabet Ward, Emgwen Sub County.

The partnership reflects Governor Sang’s unwavering commitment to harnessing the immense talent of Nandi’s young people. Through the fully funded Weekend Academy, participants will gain practical skills, leadership training, and character development designed to enhance employability and prepare them to compete on both local and global stages.

With courses held on weekends to accommodate students and working youth, across a wide array of disciplines, including electrical installation, plumbing, German and French language studies, information technology, culinary arts, dance and choreography, music, and agricultural innovation.

Governor Sang continues to champion initiatives that equip young people with the tools they need to succeed, calling on all youth in Nandi to seize this opportunity to build their skills, expand their networks, and shape a brighter future.
