COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF NANDI COMMITTED TO MAKING HEALTHCARE MORE AFFORDABLE
The County Government of Nandi is committed to providing quality health delivery for the citizenry.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang said his administration is putting in place more infrastructure and also giving a facelift to existing health facilities to realize the vision.
He stated this while inaugurating the upgraded and revamped Tamboiyo Dispensary in Kaptel/Kamoiywo Ward, Chesumei Sub County.
The county boss said construction and expansion of existing health facilities to accommodate the ever increasing demand for the essential services was a priority for his government.
He said equipping the health facilities that are spread across the county with drugs, personnel and medical equipment was reliably being done.
Governor Sang said his administration has made great progress in the provision of quality health care to the residents adding that concerted effort was being made to take the essential services closer to the people.
“We are investing in the development of both infrastructure and personnel at all hospitals in Nandi to make service delivery more efficient,” said Governor Sang.
Nandi Deputy Governor Dr. Yulita Cheruiyot called on all expectant women to deliver in county hospitals, saying that they had qualified staff and modern equipment. She urged Nandi residents to join in growing the number of people who attend the government facilities citing their efficiency in delivering better services.
The County Executive for Health and Sanitation Ruth Koech urged the doctors, nurses and paramedics to discharge their duties with the spirit of humanitarian service with honesty and professional dedication.
Present at the event were the Kaptel/Kamoiywo MCA Hon. Pius Sing’oei, Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Services Sally Kemboi, Director of Operations and Administration Dr. Philemon Bureti formerKiyet MCA Hon. Frendus Machichim among other leaders.
