Health services have been grounded in 6 Sub hospitals in Nandi County after the Medical staff went on strike.
A circular from Director of Health Dr.Kemboi urging the medics to report to work by 3am on 20th has been ignored since no one has done so.
The Director further clarified that no life has been lost contrary to earlier report from the media.
County secretary Mr.Francis Ominde had earlier held a meeting with medical unionists and was expected to give a comprehensive statement on Tuesday last week concerning a number of grievances the staff wanted to be addressed, however this didn’t prevail as the staff went on strike on Monday. “Stern actions will be taken to those who don’t resume work according to the labour laws ” he added.
