The criteria is as follows:
• Be a girl
• Have demonstrated Academic Excellence (A, A- or a strong B+)
• Have demonstrated Leadership qualities
• Have overcome insurmountable odds financially

H.E the deputy Governor Dominic Biwott in his office with a team from Agriculture,Fisheries and Food Authority. The team is in Nandi County for a 3 day roadshow with objective in promoting and encouraging consumption of local products i.e tea and coffee among the residents.

H.E the Deputy Governor confessed that it is time the residents consume their own produce so as to promote the local market for their own agricultural products,this in his opinion will improve the welfare of the farmers in the region.H.E further added that the county government will soon carry out the zoning of all land within the county to enable farmers know the different crops suitable for different areas,this will thus enhance their maximum crop output. The team will traverse through Kapsabet, kaptumo and, Nandi hills towns.

The team aim to conduct the same roadshows in 20 counties.
