WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROVIDE QUALITY HEALTHCARE TO NANDI RESIDENTS
The county government of Nandi is committed to improving provision of health services to its people, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has said.
Speaking when officially opening Chepyagoris Dispensary in Sang’alo/Kebulonik Ward in Mosop sub county, Governor Sang said that his government has put in place appropriate measures to improve the health sector.
The county boss noted that more funds have been channelled to the health docket with the aim of ensuring that every resident in Nandi County has access to quality medical care.
“We have invested in the health sector so that our people can access health services,” he said.
He said the county will invest in modern medical equipment to curb diseases, like cancer and kidney failure.
“We are elevating at least one facility in every ward to level four status which means that they will offer obstetrics and gynaecology, child health, accident and emergency services as well as non-clinical support and referral services,” said Governor Sang.
CEC for Health and Sanitation Ruth Koech observed that provision of quality services is a priority of her department.
She urged the county assembly to enact bills that will promote health standards.
Present at the event were Deputy Governor Dr. Yulita Cheruiyot, Sang’alo/Kebulonik Ward MCA Hon. Willy Maru, CO Medical Services Dr. Paul Lagat and CO Preventive and Promotive Services Sally Kemboi.
