TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF COUNTY GOVERNMENT OFFICES AS STAFF TEST POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS
Operations have been disrupted at key county government offices after 8 employees at the County Headquarters tested positive for coronavirus.
At least 6 officials at the Finance Department, 5 from the County Headquarters, 1 from the Department of Health and 1 from the Department of Administration, Public Service and e-Government were found to be infected and told to isolate for two weeks, according to a memo released on Sunday by the County Secretary Dr. Francis Sang.
“Following the latest testing for COVID-19 in our County Government, it has come to our attention that 8 officers tested positive for the disease. Offices of the Governor, Deputy Governor, Administration, Public Service and e-Government, Headquarters, Health Department Headquarters shall remain closed for 14 days effective Monday October 19,” read the memo.
It said all staffers will be tested again after two weeks in quarantine.
