Promoting cottage industries come to a close
Capacity building and mentorship program on cottage industries came to a close this week with its last two sessions held at St Jude Social Hall in Kilibwoni ward and Tindinyo falls in Kapkangani Ward, Emgwen Sub-County on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
The programme that was conducted for more than a week and held in all the six sub-counties was geared towards realistic and inclusive development of rural areas which lies in village cottage industries and that empower the society economically and socially.
Department of Trade, Investment and Industrialization, who are also the facilitators of the program, now plan to organize and host exhibitions in the next fiscal year where exhibitors drawn from various sectors will have an opportunity to showcase and market their products.
The government also has plans of incubating exceptional ideas and support them grow and produce in large scale.
