The speculation surrounding the formation of the JAP
party has since stirred some political temperatures especially in the URP wing with some slow embrace the idea, however the leaders led by Governor Lagat, Women Rep Zipporah Kering, Aldai MP Hon Cornelius Serem and Nandi MCAs cleared the air over the matter, terming the new merger as nothing abnormal but a formalization of the JUBILEE Party.
The leaders added that they were out to popularize the new party ahead of 2017 general election, adding that the party will accommodate other small parties who wish to join them,’’ moving to the next level we don’t want a party that is perceived to be ethnical ’’ added
Zipporah.
Moreover, the leaders has urged Nandi residents to fully support the party whose grassroots recruitment according to Sammy Choge former URP Chair Nandi County begins next month, while its grassroots and national election will be done August this year, adding that the exercise was already behind the schedule in the region as other Counties like Nakuru had already done with the process.
