Crop diversification can be used as a strategy to address food and nutrional security. Today, CEC Agriculture and Cooperative Development Mr Wilson Taiy visited various potato farmers in Kipsirgo/ Cheptuing’eny, Kimwogi, Cheplalachbei village in Lessos Ward and Oldoldol Youth Group in Chepkunyuk Ward ,Nandi Hills Sub County.
The CEC urged the farmers to transition from subsistence farming to income – generating agriculture. He also called on the farmers in the various groups to join Cooperative Societies so as to easily access financial credits, improve their products and reduce the cost of acquiring inputs.
