Welcome to Nandi County that is located in the former Rift valley Province with its headquarters as Kapsabet.The County Government of Nandi is composed of six Sub-Counties namely: Tinderet, Aldai, Nandi Hills,Emgwen Chesumei and Mosop. The County has a population of approximately 752,965.

The sector has a potential in providing the highest source of employment opportunities therefore increasing household income in the county. The county has 8 established commercial banks that are a supportive institution to the tourism industry. Security is however key in boosting the tourism sector.
Main Tourist Attractions, National Parks/Reserves
The main National Reserve in Nandi County is the in Nandi South Sub-County. There are plans to upgrade its status into a National Park so as to attract more funds for conservation and maintenance. The other attraction sites in Nandi South are the Nandi Rock and the South Nandi Forest.
In Nandi North, there is the Chepkiit Water Falls on the Kipkaren River. In Nandi Central we have the
near Chepterit area which is host to the famous Sitatunga, a rare gazelle species. There is also the Tindinyo falls along River Yala. In Nandi East, there is the famous Koitalel Samoei Museum in NandiHills town and the Keben caves in Mogobich, Lessos Division.
Main Wildlife in the County
The main wildlife in the county is the Sitatunga gazelles at Kingwal Swamp, Colobus monkeys found in the South Nandi Forest. There is also a wide variety of different bird species and snakes across the county.
