Among the first tasks that the County Government undertook was to establish the County Public Service Board.
It comprises of Samuel Too as chairman and Esther Letting as the Board Secretary. Grace Sugut, Sammy Sareto, Kimeli Chepsiror, Dr Francis Sang and Mary Ngeny are members..
The main role of the Board is to recruit competent staff to provide services to the people of Nandi.
It is also responsible for recruiting officers to give direction and leadership in the management of the County Government such as chief officers and departmental heads.
According to Too, they have recruited 30 ward administrators, six sub-county administrators and 11 chief officers whose interviews have already been concluded. They are also in the process of enlisting 800 ECDE teachers to be deployed to public primary schools in the County.
After the recruitment of staff is over, the board will then embark on training and capacity building to ensure effective service delivery.
